Eco-friendly Grass Grid System for Car Parks
Nidagrass NG040 is our grass reinforcement system used for the creation of grass parking areas. Nidagrass grids are designed to be filled with a rootzone mix of sand and soil and then seeded with hard-wearing grass seed to create a reinforced grass surface suitable for car parks. Nidagrass NG040 grids offer architects and designers a more environmentally friendly option for surfacing car parks which is becoming ever more important with the effects of climate change and the need to control rainwater run-off, especially in urban settings. A grass grid car park is 100% rainwater permeable over the full surface area and can be integrated with other permeable landscaping surfaces including gravel and paving. A grass grid parking area can also help to increase the biodiversity of a car park, especially when combined with tree planting, wildflower areas, shrub planting and habitat for wildlife to create a natural-looking car park that blends into the landscape.

Fast Grass Grid Installation
Nidagrass grids are simple and quick to install. The grids are picked off the pallet 1 SQM at a time and laid onto the prepared base. The grass grids interlock using male and female connections that are made to be robust and easy to connect. The grids can also be easily cut to shape using a hand saw or circular saw. The grids are filled with a sand and soil mix called rootzone, this soil mix is free draining but also contains enough nutrients to support grass growth. Rootzone is usually 60% sand and fine gravel mixed with 40% topsoil. The grids are filled with rootzone either by hand or machine and then seeded with a hard-wearing grass seed mix. Water, as required to allow the grass to establish prior to regular use and your grass car park, is ready for use.

Nidagrass NG040 grass grids are green in colour with white clip-in markers available for marking car parking spaces.
